A Chance for Kids
Welcome to A Chance for Kids

Our Purpose

A Chance For Kids, Inc. is to serve and assist children in the United States and Haiti in order to increase their quality of life and sense of self worth. In the United States and Haiti both countries are suffering from poverty and an opportunity to allow children grow and become model citizens in their countries. Poverty traps future generations in a vicious cycle without hope and opportunity. A Chance For Kids strives to bring the people of the United States and Haiti out of this poverty. Our organization will specifically target children and seek to offer them shelter, education, and good health. The activities that A Chance For Kids will provide will help give the children an opportunity to grow and have a future. Our organization will be helping kids in the United States and in Haiti we hope to continue the growth of our organization and help children all over the world.

Poverty in the United States

To get a better understanding 37 percent of all American children, 42 percent of its infants and toddlers, 58 percent of its African American children, and 62 percent of its Latino children. This is more than just providing shelter and food for children who need it. A Chance for Kids is looking to help provide children an opportunity to better themselves and their current situations. A report, by the National Center on Family Homelessness, analyzed data from 2005-06 found that more than 1.5 million children were without a home. More than 1 in 7 homeless children have moderate to severe health conditions, such as asthma. Our organization will be involved in getting the children the help they need with shelter, clothing, and food.
